US Open of Stand Up Paddle has teamed up with paddleboard specialists of Ark Paddleboards to create the premier event for Stand Up Paddleboarding, which offers $35,000 in prize money.

Adult Release and Waiver

All contestants are required to fill out and return a Adult Release and Waiver of Liability prior to competing. You can download a copy, print it out and bring it to the event. Hard copies will also be available at event registration the day of the tournament.

Daily Schedule

Friday there will be a board check-in at the Surfcomber Hotel (1717 Collins Avenue) coinciding with a meet and greetwith the best of the bestpaddleboarders in the world! We expect many of the top paddlers to come to this event. The evening will be topped off with a great welcoming party for all to enjoy!

All boards must be 12' 6" and under for all events except the fishing competition.

Saturday will feature 5 Disciplines.

OPEN STOCK (3 MILE)
ELITE (5 MILE)
KIDS RACE
SPRINT RACE (100 yards)
COED RELAY (teams of 3 with at least 1 female)

Sunday will be adding a great twist to the event: FISHING!!! The fishing event kicks off bright and early Sunday morning. Also on Sunday we will feature the 10-mile distance raceand crown the "Chairman of the Board".

The stock/age group race will be held on Saturday No matter what your skill level, from children to professionals, this will be a challenging event with a fun, professional and healthy atmosphere. The event takes place on Friday September 09 2011, Saturday September 10 2011 and Sunday September 11 2011.

Chairman of the Board

We are introducing a new title "The Chairman of the Board" which will be based upon the total number of points accumulated over the weekend in 3 event/disciplines (open stock OR elite and also the sprint and distance race). With your place finish in each event, you will earn points.Whoever accumulates the most points per gender wins the title of Chairman of the Board and takes home a nice little bonus check of $1000!

If you sign up for the "Chairman of the Board Category" you must compete in the sprint race, long distance race, and either the elite race OR open stock race, not both. The elite race will earn the finishers more points than the stock race.

We are offering a discounted rate on all three races for those who sign up in this category.
