About Exclusive Sports Marketing
Exclusive Sports Marketing was founded in 1986 by CEO Steven J. Tebon and his brother Dennis Tebon. Initially, Exclusive Sports Marketing promoted and managed a small three-race triathlon program. Thanks to the vision that there was a market in Florida for triathlon events and other fitness-related recreational sports, Steven Tebon and his staff, were able to seek the corporate support needed for the program to grow. Today, Exclusive Sports Marketing and the events the company promotes, manages, and implements, fill a very important sports niche role catering to all types of athletes and sporting fans.
A key to the success of ESM has been the ability to attract and maintain top corporate partners and sponsors and the "resort destination" host sites for Exclusive Sports Marketing event properties. Over the years, Exclusive Sports Marketing has worked with such corporate sponsors as: Publix Supermarkets, Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Anheuser-Busch, Gatorade, Toyota, Buick, Nike, Sunshine Network, and Yamaha just to name a few. Host sites like the Florida Keys, Abaco, Grand Bahamas and all the major Florida markets, have led to longstanding relationships with a number of resorts and hotels including Holiday Inn, Marriott, Ocean Properties, and Club Med.
Since 1986, ESM has produced easily over 200 triathlons and more than 200 races including skating events, open water swimming, running, and kids' events. With some of the greatest athletes in the world participating in our events over the years, we have been known for allowing the everyday athlete to compete alongside top professionals in the sport. Over the years we have seen the likes of Ironman® super gods Dave Scott, Scott Tinley and the terminator himself Scott Molina. A young buck by the name of Lance Armstrong also found his start with Exclusive Sports Marketing in the sport of triathlon.
The Family Fitness Weekend concept has been in implementation since 1989, when it became evident that Exclusive Sports Marketing needed to provide additional events for the family members of triathletes. A simple 5K run led to the inclusion of an open water swim, kid triathlon, inline skating, our event expo, clinics and camps. The program has really come into its own over the last seven years since Publix Supermarkets took the lead as the Family Fitness Weekend title sponsor.
However, the Publix Family Fitness Weekend is not the only property or sports program that Exclusive Sports Marketing has successfully produced. 2005 marks the 14th year anniversary of another highly regarded grassroots sports program, the The Dig The Beach Pro Am Beach Volleyball Series
The Dig The Beach Volleyball Series is the longest running program of its kind east of the Mississippi. Since its inception in 1992, the series has traveled to beaches all over Florida and the southeast, as well as north up to Michigan and all the way back into Texas and Mexico. With more than over 170 tournaments produced, we have had the honor of serving athletes from as far away as New England, California, and South America.
